The P.S. 11Q Library Media Center strives to cultivate an enthusiastic perspective of learning among its diverse community. Our library works collaboratively to help students develop tools that will assist them in becoming lifelong learners, ethical and efficient users of information and creative problem solvers.
Our library is a warm, welcoming environment that challenges students to discover and explore ideas in an inquiry based and supportive atmosphere. Our goal is to help students:

Become lifelong readers and learners by offering a comprehensive and varied collection of quality titles. Our library staff continually examines the collection to ensure that resources are appealing, up-to-date, and reflective of patrons' interests and needs.

Understand the value of digital citizenship and develop research skills as they learn how to evaluate the credibility of sources. Students are offered experiences in how to efficiently search and locate information through print and electronic resources. The library staff offers guidance in learning skills that will help students prepare for careers and college.

Actively participate in problem solving, design, and innovation as they engage in Makerspace activities such as Lego design, creaation of simple machines, newspaper writing and design, creation of simple machines, jewelry making, puzzles, and visual arts projects. The P.S. 11Q Library Media Center hosts many different clubs and event to encourage students to grow and challenge themselves in a nurturing environment.
